I was the first one to buy Aquamist publicly on TTnet, to support the group buy.
(caveat: Cheetah had it before me, but had no idea what he was doing, how it was installed, and it was never tuned properly. He also stole the product, never paying for it.)The Aquamist product for me, has been the absolute worst headache I've ever experienced. It rarely works. When it does, it does so improperly.
I have spent probably 40+ hours on the phone in the past 3 years trying to correct the problems. Seldom to any conclusion.
I've completely rewired 5 times (and changed the way it was wired (schematically speaking)).
I was the first beta tester of the new "injector driver/amplifier". That beta testing led to the new Aquamist "2D" kit, based on the 2S kit. The Aquamist hardware is absolutely 1st rate. I've never seen anything like it that was consider 'for public consumtion'. This is high level, military grade quality. Anyway, my experiences may not be the norm. But I know others from the GB have had issues with their installs aswell. If I were to stick with the aquamist product, I would only buy the 1S kit. It's the cheapest, and for me, was the absolute most reliable. It also gave me the MOST noticable performance enhancement. If I were to start from scratch, I'd do the DIY method for less then $200.oo. IMHO
but who am I to say.
